Volunteer Duties

Volunteer shifts are generally three to four hours long. We need volunteers in the early morning, late morning, and afternoon. Some of the tasks that volunteers take on include handing out medals, working in the staging area, writing down times as runners come through the finish line, or directing parking for our runners.

It is up to the individual volunteer to choose which shift works best for them. All shifts involve being outside, being on your feet, and being awesome! Below is a more extensive list of duties that could be included in a volunteer shift with NeoEndurance:

  • Helping with event set up (cones, tables, tents, etc)
  • Helping with event break down (more cones, tables and tents, etc)
  • Helping with traffic flow management - telling runners where to go, etc
  • Parking management
  • Announcing incoming runners
  • Recording runner times
  • Keeping supplies restocked
  • Helping runners navigate tricky turns along the course
  • Handing out water
  • Keeping our event and tent areas neat, clean, and free of litter

When and where do volunteers report?

The volunteers will report to the volunteer tent 15 minutes before their assigned time.  Once you're confirmed, we'll either shuttle you to the course location, or assign you a position in the staging area. At registration, each shift listing will include the following information: location, general duties, start time & date, and end time & date. Volunteers are free to select the shift(s) that work best for them. Shifts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so sign up early!
