We're doing it again! The 2nd Annual Veteran's Run is happening on Sunday, November 10th, 2019.  Registration for this event opens on January 1st, 2019!

This is a 16-Mile, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k event.  Every finisher will receive a race shirt AND a customized finisher's medal! All events will be timed and every bib will have a chip taped to the back (do not remove!).

With any event we organize and host, we're always trying to improve and do better. We heard from past runners and we're doing things just a little different for 2019. More food along the course for all runners, especially the half marathon and 16-mile events. Water cups instead of water bottles at all stations. More photographers on the course... and so much more.

We're having a LIVE National Anthem performer, local vendors, and an awesome DJ to provide for a great atmosphere.

We highly recommend you secure your spot soon. This event is only limited to 500 SPOTS!!

The Charity

At all of our events, we invite one local non-profit to benefit from donations and charity. Through fundraising events and promotional campaigns, we encourage our participants and runners to learn about the organization, contribute to their cause, and help make the world a better place.

The non-profit for the 2019 2nd annual event is still to be identified, but the moment we work out the details we'll make a personal announcement here on our website.

The Medals

We love our medals, and we are proud to show them off! We're still working on the artwork for this year's medal, but you're not going to find another medal as cool as ours!

-All of our medals are uniquely designed by our very own staff.

-Each medal is distinct according to the event.

-Every medal is earned at the finish line.

 

National Anthem Performer

We love having a local singer perform the National Anthem. As soon as we identify who that singer will be, we'll post it here and make the announcement on our social channels!

Aid Stations

This course will have 5 water stations leading up to the half marathon turn-around point. This means that each runner will pass through every water station twice, except at their half-way point.

Portable Restrooms

We know it happens. When you have to go, you have to go. Portable restrooms will be staged at the start/finish line, and at the 10k and half-marathon turn-around points.

  • Restroom Area #1: Start/Finish Line
  • Restroom Area #2: 3.10 miles (10k turn-around)
  • Restroom Area #3: 6.55 miles (half-marathon turn-around)

Pre-Race Packet Pickup

There will be TWO packet pickup locations for this event. Having two locations help facilitate runners who live in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

Sponge Stations

November in Florida is still warm!! Don't be silly - when you get to a water station GRAB A SPONGE!!! We'll have soaked sponges for all runners who need one. Don't let the sun beat you to the finish line!

What's Allowed?

  • Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed on this course, but participants MUST stay to the right of the path to allow for passers.
  • Service animals.
  • Unless you're competing to break a record*, headphones are authorized, but we ask that you keep to a volume that allows you to hear race and park officials.

What's NOT Allowed?

  • Pets (except certified service animals).
  • Double-wide (or wider) strollers. At some points on the course, the path isn't wide enough for three adults.
  • Skateboards, bicycles, tricycles, skates, etc...
  • Bandits. If you're not wearing a bib at the finish line, you won't get a medal!

*This is a USATF sanctioned event.  Headphones are not authorized if you're competing to break a record.


Award Groups

FirstSecond, and Third place finishers in the 5k and 10k events, male and female, will receive a signed certificate with their official time, and a discount towards our next event.

We will have a seperate overall category specifically for Veterans, and a seperate overall category for the entire race in each event.

Placement finishers will receive a signed certificate by the Race Director with their certified time in addition to a tiered discount towards our next event. The table below illustrates the tiered placement awards.

***THIS IS IMPORTANT.  The counties of Hillsborough and Pinellas have only authorized us to have 50 half marathon and 50 16-Mile slots.  This is NOT competitive for age group awards. Otherwise, everyone would win an award and that places NeoEndurance in a financial bind to organize future races.  Therefore, only OVERALL 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winners in the half marathon and 16-mile events will receive an award. We're sorry for the inconvenience.***

Military Veteran Discount!

We support our military service members, and we want to give back.  For 2019, we've increased the discount from 15% to 20% - BUT YOU MUST QUALIFY FOR THIS DISCOUNT!

If you're a military service member, reservist, or a veteran of the U.S. military, you get a 15% discount on your registration. To qualify for this discount, you'll be required to show one of the following forms of identification to the volunteers at the registration tent. Without these documents, you will be banned from future NeoEndurance races.

  1. Military CAC ID (must not say "Civilian" or "Contractor")
  2. Retiree ID Card
  3. Veteran Affairs ID Card
  4. Driver's License with "V" symbol.

A DD-214 alone is NOT sufficient without photo identification that matches your document.  In an effort to prevent fraud and abuse of this program, you'll be asked to show one of the above forms of ID when you pick up your bib packet. Use the promo code MILITARY20 at checkout.

Volunteers

Events like these couldn't happen without the show-force of great volunteers. Volunteers will get a free bib into any of our next races. Here are a few tasks the volunteers can expect to do:

  • Offer water or gatorade to the runners at water stations.
  • Hand out bib bags to registered runners.
  • Hand out medals at the finish line.
  • Cheer and motivate runners on the course!
