Going for a run always seemed like such a great idea to me! The wind in my hair, the freedom to go wherever I want, the power surging through my legs and the happy glow afterwards knowing that I’d accomplished a workout with no need for a gym or equipment.

Why Do You Run?

Over the two and a half years that I've been running, not once have I been asked that question. Instead, I've heard a multitude of other things that left a lot to be desired.

If you're a jogger, you undoubtedly know the health benefits associated with running. Psychologically, you feel better. Physically, you start to tone up and look fit. But there are other benefits to running you might not have known, specifically with the knees.

Breaking news - dogs love being outside. Some of them can even run further than you think. A healthy labrador can keep up with your easy pace for a few miles. The next time you set out to go for a run, especially a trail run, take your pooch with you.
